/sign for both Maybe just add a weapon/armor smith who can give you an insigna, inscription upgrade in the hard area.
I feel really wacked using a Platinum bow with 15% enchanted mod.
Beside there are players who dont give a damn about GW market.
Beside games with out a change is a dead game.

I love the idea to be able to upgrade one of the Tyrian armors to whatever insignias you prefer to use.
Weapons : I don't really care tbh
Edit : Canthan armors i don't really think its needed since you are able to buy any stats with same look

I wonder what the market problem is.
Most of my weapons are already devalued more or less.
Flamberges now drop with Inscription slots. Many other weapons, too, with a few exceptions. My old 15^50 r10 Flamberge is really dated compared to this.
But it had no value on the market anymore anyway - because I customize and use all my weapons, hear hear!
I also think Inscriptions allow us to change mistakes of the past or issues that arise due to changes.
My Ritualist has +5 AL per Spirit armor - which is now totally screwed as Spirit Spam is no longer really viable. I would like to change it - but without inscriptions, no chance. And I am not going to buy 15K Luxon again, costs quite some money.
Then another issue: Necro Tormentor Armor. I prefer it for PvE. But now my precious 15K Kurzick is screwed, as it is bugged this way (confirmed in bugs forum): Older Tormentor's that got upgraded to the new stats of Tormentor Armor simply get all the negative effects (+holy damage) but lose the +10 Armor.
Instead of fixing here, fixing there - have a consistent weapons and armor system for all chapters of the game.
If GW:EN would not have insignia or inscriptions, or if HARD mode would have no inscriptions or Insignia in Tyria and Cantha, would this not suck? I do not even bother to go back to Tyria or Cantha because everything that drops there is mostly rubbish compared to Nightfall drops.

Em.....
Its a sales technique!!!!
Anet does that to obviously give insentives for people to purchase the other campaigns.
Its not because their being unfair, its them doing something very intelligent to make money.
You obviously have to have a unique features to each game, otherwise why bother buying a new campaign?

Why?
------
/signed x1000 for armors.
/signed for weapons, but rarity must be adressed. (you know gold rare skins on nightfall are a lot more difficult to drop than rare skins on tyria or cantha).

Having equal armor abilities over all three campaigns won't imbalance the economy. All people are going to do is get the armor they want to have.
For the elitist, this is a bad thing, because all the "hot" and "rare" armor right now is in Nightfall. It's upgradeable, it's detailed, and the best part is, it's only available to people who have enough money to buy Nightfall. The only people who don't want the new armor capabilities transfered over to the other two campaigns are elitist who will lose that "flare" that they delude themselves into thinking they had in the first place.
/Signed for armor capabilities.
As for the weapons, how the frack is it going to mess up the economy!? Show me where the hell you people are pulling these predictions from and maybe I'll start listening. Every time a new campaign for Guild Wars comes out, the market always adapts to the new weapons, materials, etc. What makes you think Prophecies and Factions is different?
/Signed for weapon upgrades.

/Not signed, leave Proph and Factions alone. They all have their 'unique' drops, and giving insig is just going to cheapen them.
Armour, well, no.

from what i can tell, the market is already flooded with insignias, so its not like adding them to prophecies and factions is going to matter much. You can't be in a major trade center 10 seconds without seeing people spamming inscription sales. if that's what you're trying to protect, that bridge went up in flames already.
As far as the armor goes, who really cares? As Felix said, only those with their e-peens attached to their armor.
/signed for both

Or better yet, give back incentive for ppl who started with factions/NF and add insignias to armor as well as other new goodies. It's not like proph/factions make zero profit after NF; just not 1 million copies in 1 week or whatever.

They finally add the material storage to all chapters...
Why not to do that again?
